After the positive experience of Amor Gitano and Banjara, two shows with a fusion of gipsy flamenco from Andalusia and Arabic music and sounds from Middle East, Almoraima continue their musical experiments and research. This time they got their inspiration from the double tour in Mexico and Cuba and the arrival of their new bass player who is from Cuba. All this has given birth to Café Cantante, a new show including twenty pieces based on two most fertile musical styles: flamenco and Latin American music, which start a dialogue in search of a common past and present for music.
In this charming process of musical contamination, rhythms, melodies, and songs from South America mingle with flamenco in an innovative and melodic way, with original lyrics or lyrics from Latin-American folksongs.
