About the book

In the wake of the global pandemic, storytelling emerged as a powerful tool to connect individuals across borders and languages. Bridge of Stories was born out of this need, bringing together twelve first-time writers from India and Italy. This anthology features short stories that transcend cultural boundaries, demonstrating the universal power of literature to bridge gaps and initiate dialogue.

Bridge of Stories features an impressive collection of works from both Indian and Italian writers, showcasing a wide range of themes and styles. On the Indian side, readers will encounter Are You Lonesome Tonight? by Abhijit Khandkar, Homecoming by Madhurima Vidyarthi, The Horrorby Muddasir Ramzan, Sand Flour by Suhasini Patni, The Altar by Vighnesh Hampapura, and What Aches the Heart by Rakhi Dalal. From Italy, the anthology offers Feeding the Dead by Eleonora Daniel, The Scent of Saint Morena by Filippo Ferraresi, Frost by Flavio Natale, Lucky Blue by Francesco Quaranta, The Hyena and the Little Girl by Ilaria Gradassi, and The Surrender by Sharon Vanoli. Together, these stories create a rich tapestry of literary connections between India and Italy.
