Consonni-Baldi Duo | Cello and piano recital – Pune

The Duo, composed of Lorenza Baldo on cello and Martina Consonni on piano, was born in 2019 at the International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” of Imola. Moved by a strong passion for chamber music, the two young musicians found themselves in perfect musical interpretive and expressive harmony from the very first moment.

A concert within the project “Young Italian musical talents in the world“, which arises from the synergy between the Accademia Chigiana, the International Academy ‘Incontri col Maestro’ of Imola and the CIDIM National Italian Music Committee, that promotes the entry into the international musical world of best young Italian talents.

ABOUT ARTISTS

Lorenza Baldo is a young Italian cellist who has perfromed widely in Italy, Europe and Moscow. Her teachers iclude the most important cello teachers like Rocco Filippini, David Geringas, Ralph Kirshbaum, Julia Hagen and Antonio Menezes. She is regularly invited to festivals across Europe and Italy and perfroms as soloist with orchestra and chamber music. Lorenza plays a French cello from 1900 by Charles Brugères and is praised for her innate musicality and brilliance of sound.

Martina Consonni has established herself as one of the most promising young pianists of her generation. From an early age, her extraordinary musical talent allowed her to win more than 55 grand-prizes in International competitions. Martina is in great demand as a soloist and chamber musician and performs at prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall in London, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa and Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
