This November, Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest welcomes Italian author Clara Nubile in the frame of the Week of the Italian Language in the World 2025. She participates in two panels, one on The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald and another featuring poems from around the world and conducts a workshop entitled Metaphrase: Translating Across Cultures.

Clara Nubile is a literary translator and writer, who has been translating mostly fiction from English into Italian for the last 26 years. Among her translations: Life of Pi by Yann Martel, The Everest Hotel by Allan Sealy, Mumbai Fables by Gyan Prakash, Quarterlife by Devika Rege, and the works of Parahamsa Yogananda. She used to live in Mumbai, and has travelled all over India. Some of her works are set in India, like Trascuranze, her last novel and her collection of short stories Le Febbri. She has published several novels, short stories and poems. Her novel Lupo has been translated into French.
