Cafiso Duo at Pune Jazz Utsav and at FIAT Ranjangaon

The Cafiso-Schiavone duo lives of palpable musical feelings: creativity and an enjoyable vein of artistic madness arise from two souls who speak the same language in a perfect alchemy. The duo's repertoire consists of songs from the new album titled Cafiso 3, the first among the works of the Sicilian saxophonist entirely made up of original compositions. The project, consisting of three different albums published simultaneously - Contemplation, La banda and 20 cents per nota - see Cafiso in new guise as a composer, arranger and conductor, as well as an already widely recognized musician among the greatest in the world (we like to remember, among many others, his collaboration and friendship with Wynton Marsalis).
Schiavone ensures a real carpet of sound, creating on the keyboard of his piano melodic modern lines and stylish, supported by a complex harmonic and rhythmic structure, without giving up valuable solos. What emerges from this meeting is a dialogue at the highest level between the two great artists confirming the vitality and prestige Italian jazz enjoys in the world today.
