Clara Nubile at GALF

Clara Nubile is a writer and a literary translator. She lives in Italy and in Mumbai. She has published the novels Io ti attacco nel sangue, Lupo, Tu come tutto quello che tocchi and the collection of poems Squame. Among her translations from English into Italian, Life of Pi by Yann Martel, Swamplandia! by Karen Russel, Drugstore Cowboy by James Fogle, Everest Hotel by Allan Sealy, the works by Paramhansa Yogananda and the complete series of Young Sherlock Holmes by Andrew Lane.

From inception in 2010, the unique, homegrown, volunteer-driven and non-profit Goa Arts and Literature Festival (GALF) has rapidly emerged as one of the premier cultural showcases of India. GALF was founded to celebrate what is usually considered "the margins", taking inspiration from  the noted poet of Goan origin, Eunice de Souza. Over the past five years, GALF has grown in size, stature and significance while retaining its emphasis on, both, serious deliberations and convivial atmosphere, as well as building meaningful connections with the finest writers, poets, artists and musicians from around the subcontinent and beyond.
