An encounter between the choreographer and an Indian dancer. Italy and India are far away from each other, but they have many things in common, for example, their names in Italian: Italia and India. Both start with an “I” and end with an “A”. The space between “I” and “A” has been filled not with the letters that are necessary to write Italia or India but with a mix of the two cultures, finding new bridges that connect them.
Stefano Fardelli is a dancer, choreographer and teacher. Among his international collaborations are the Berlin Opera, BBC, The Place, Royal Filand Opera, Les Gens d’Uterpan, English National Opera, Cie Twain etc. All his productions are supported by Ass. Cult. Compagnia Excursus Onlus which is supported by the Italian Government.
Raam Kumar is a performer, teacher, choreographer, physician and researcher. He taught at the Attakkalari Centre and he is currently Kalarippayat teacher at CVN Kalari, TVM. Raam Kumar has been touring in India, Asia, Europe and the USA as a dancer and a Kalarippayat teacher and performer.
