9th edition of the Mumbai International Literary Festival
Tata Literature Fest in association of the Italian Institute of Culture in Mumbai organize the literary festival in which two Italian authors will participate - Folco Terzani and Carlo Pizzati. The Mumbai LitFest is India's most important literary festival, attracting the great writers, artists and publishers of the world. Last year, over 150 writers from 17 countries took part in the festival. We collaborate with many international organizations, including Hay Festival, Trinity College, Dublin, Brown University, Goethe Institute and the British Council.

Biography
Carlo Pizzati is the author of two novels, three non-fiction books and a collection of short stories. He lives with his wife near a fishermen’s village in India where he writes about Asia for national dailies La Stampa and The Hindu. He teaches communication theory at the Asian College of Journalism in Chennai and he’s also developing a project with his teenage son to produce affordable football shoes for Indian girls
Folco Terzani is an Italian writer and documentary filmmaker. He grew up in Asia, studied at Cambridge University and went to film school in New York after which he made documentaries about hermits, Mother Teresa and the Himalayan sadhus. With his dying father, he wrote ‘The End is My Beginning‘ which became a bestseller in Europe and a feature film. This was followed by ‘Barefoot On the Earth’, ‘Ultra’ (about running absurd distances in nature) and ‘The Dog, the Wolf and God‘. He is now studying apes.
