The Italian Cultutal Institute in Mumbai organised an exhibit showcasing the beauty along with the hardships in the life of an LGBTQ community in India, joining in the programme of events to support "Orange the World", the United Nations campaign for the elimination of gender violence. The project, developed by Italian artist Diana Linda and Italian photographer Domenico Pugliese with the support of UnWomen India, takes visitors on a journey marked by 20 photographs and a 34 minute video with texts in prose and poetry.

The exhibition, which represents an artistic contribution from Italy to the current debate on gender equality, opened at the Sakshi Gallery and was attended by Diana Linda along with some of the people portrayed in the photographs and also some of the interviewees. During his brief openign address, the Italian Consul General in Mumbai, Stefania Costanza, recalled "Italy's determination to fight all forms of gender-based violence and discrimination both at home and abroad, especially raising the awareness in multilateral fora." The Consul also underlined the "importance of focusing onm education and knowledge, as stated by the President of the Republic Mattarella in the address he delivered on the international day against violence on women, in 2018."
