Soavità e fermezza – Suavity and firmness Antonio Canova and the natural beauty by Dr. Chiara Rostagno

On the occasion of the celebrations of the bicentenary of Antonio Canova’s death, which took place in Venice on 13 October 1822, the Italian Cultural Institute of Mumbai, in collaboration with the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya museum and the Asiatic Society of Mumbai, organize the conference ” Sweetness and beauty. Antonio Canova and natural beauty “.

 

CHIARA ROSTAGNO is an architect, PhD and specialized in the Restoration of Monuments who spearheaded the last preservation project of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper”. She is the Former Director of The Leonardo’s Last Supper National Museum and actual Scientific Director of Palazzo Litta in Milan. As of 2010 she is Architect at MiC (the Italian Ministry of Culture and of 1999 to 2021 an Adjunct Professor at the Politecnico of Milan, where she has taught Conservation of Cultural Heritage, Landscape and Museology). She is the author of several books and papers in the field of Conservation and History of Cultural Heritage and Art.
