Flowing Essence | A multimedia performance by Alessandro Olla

A multimedia performance by Alessandro Olla, italian musician and multidisciplinary artist, with Bangalore contemporary dancers Anishaa Tavag and Gayatri Shetty. In celebrating The Week of the Italian Language in the World, this performance was developed through an artistic residency in collaboration with music research center, TheISRO and Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, in Bangalore.

Alessandro Olla is currently conducting a Residency program at TheISRO (The Indian Sonic Research Organisation), Bangalore which will conclude with “Flowing Essence”. The performance combines Italian and Indian culture together, in an aesthetic dimension of syncretism. Among the research themes that drive the project is the analysis and use of the soundscapes and acoustic identities of Bangalore, as well as the relationship between sound art and dance.
