L’ultima foglia by Leonardo Frosina

The story deals with the events in the lives of Zeno and Rossana. He is a night watchman and she is a musician. When they move to Rome for work reasons, things are already bad between them, and the change only worsens their sentimental inertia. In fact they begin to live in two different temporal dimensions: Rossana locks herself up in their home as if it were a cage, while Zeno spends his nights doing rounds across the city with his lively and easy-going colleague Tom. Zeno’s friendship with Tom, and particularly with Ela, a young foreign barmaid, is a comfort for him, but also creates a definite inner turmoil.

Leonardo Frosina directed two short films even before moving to Rome to attend the Nuova Università del Cinema e della Televisione (N.U.C.T.). Here he continued directing short films, including L’essenza dell’assenza and Uriele. In 2008 he was selected for the International Film Workshop Academy (InFWA) in Berlin where he directed The Song of the Whale. In 2010 he tested the Canon 550D and he completed the teaser Non legarti a niente, a full-length movie that he plans to direct after L’ultima foglia.

The movie will be screened at the Pune International Film Festival, at the Yashwant International Film Festival in Mumbai and at the Aurangabad Film Festival.
