La terra e il vento by Sebastian Maulucci

Leonardo decides to quit school to devote himself to mountain-climbing rejecting his family and their rural life, unlike his brother, forced into it by the will of his family. When Leonardo is ready to leave for Nepal on a new climbing mission, his stepbrother Riccardo, who runs the family farm in Tuscany after his father’s death, asks him for help to resolve an inheritance matter. Leonardo is forced to postpone his trip and to take a break in Tuscany where he will find love and friendship and will have to decide whether to stay or leave.

Sebastian Maulucci was born in 1981, he is a director and screenwriter. He graduated in Philosophy, Arts and Humanities at La Sapienza University of Rome, and in Cinema, Television and Multimedia Production at Roma Tre University. In 2002 and 2004 he attended Marco Bellocchio’s directing courses in Bobbio (Italy). He was Paolo Sorrentino’s assistant director in the film L’amico di famiglia in 2006. He has a diploma in Film Direction at the Multimedia Act School. His graduation short film Il ritorno, l’addio was screened at the 59th Venice Film Festival in the section for short films by young authors.

The movie will be screened at the Pune International Film Festival, at the Yashwant International Film Festival in Mumbai and at the Aurangabad Film Festival.
