The Italian Cultural Institute in Mumbai, in collaboration with the NCPA, Comitato Nazionale Italiano Musica (CIDIM) and the Suono Italiano project, presents a jazz piano concert by Claudio Filippini.
Pianist Claudio Filippini presents a compelling piano recital shaped by a deep-rooted command of the jazz tradition. He has collaborated with distinguished artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Mike Stern and Fabrizio Bosso and Mario Biondi, performing at major international venues worldwide.
Claudio Filippini presents a repertoire in solo piano that ranges from free improvisation to classics from the American jazz songbook, drawing inspiration from the great iconic figures of tradition. The programme also features compositions born from Filippini’s pen – unpublished pieces and some successes from his recent albums, showcasing Filippini’s distinctive artistic voice.
